SRBBA provides technical assistance, classroom training, one-on-one personal assistance in several areas of business planning. SRBBA has certified instructors in the NxLevel program and "Indianpreneurship" business planning here to provide assistance in putting your business plan together. We conduct business plan training in a classroom setting, as well as one-on-one.
SRBBA works with other entities to bring business training and workshops to the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. We have worked with tribal programs such as TERO, Vocational Rehabilitation, Education and other to bring trainers in from other areas, such as; Small Business Administration, Department of Energy, Idaho Department of Transportation and the Workforce Training Department at Idaho State University to bring information and training to our community.
SRBBA advocates for our Native American/tribal member businesses to assist them in gaining business on our reservation. We help Native and Tribal member businesses present their business to the department managers, who do a majority of the purchases. This has proven to be a great success! Once the managers know your here and can do the job-they will use your services!
This comprehensive 12 week business planning course, specifically designed for Native American entrepeneurs, was chosen as SRBBA's official business plan curriculum. The hands-on curriculum is designed to assist individuals with the development of a compehensive business plan that can be used as a tool for guiding their business, as well as a necessary document for obtaining business financing.
So far, we have had more then sixty students complete this training.
SRBBA also has a Native American Business Revolving Loan Program available for those that have been in business for three years or longer, or complete the business planning course. The loan is for up to $5,000.00. The program is a partnership between SRBBA, the Southeast Idaho Council of Governments with a grant through the United States Department of Agriculture. We hope to expand this program as time goes on.
